Alan Duty & The Lost Rangers
About
From the mountain town of Steamboat Springs, CO, Alan Duty & The Lost Rangers started playing music in 2021. Influenced by bands like Whiskey Myers and Turnpike Troubadours, the band started playing southern rock and red dirt music in Alan’s garage during COVID. Alan Duty, vocalist and rhythm guitar, was born in Houston and moved to Steamboat 2002. Darren Halik, lead guitar, was born in Traverse City, Michigan and moved to Steamboat Springs in 2015. Ryan Hoffman, drummer, and was born in Chicago moved to Steamboat in 2015. After high school, Alan went to Auburn University where he met Drew Turnipseed (from Mobile AL) and started writing music. Together they all formed Alan Duty & The Lost Rangers. The last few summers they have been playing the local Steamboat Springs scene as well as Auburn University. Their sound today has evolved into what they describe as a southern rock jam band influenced not only by the Texas and red dirt music scene but also the blue grass/jam band sounds of the mountains of Colorado.
