Chris Edwards

Chris Edwards, simply put, is a singer-songwriter rooted in the deep Pineywoods of East Texas. Whether it's folkin' n' rollin' with a raucous band behind him, or armed with his guitar and songs, he is a compelling favorite among live music connoisseurs in the region.

With a suitcase full of influences ranging from the old-time folk and country he grew up with (thanks to his grandparents' record collection) to more recent Texas troubadours like Robert Earl Keen into rockier territory like the Old 97's, Edwards' blend of catchy melodies and literate lyrics prove that he is a songwriter, first and foremost, focusing on "just writing good songs."

With a newfound rededication to his craft, both as a live performer and with the new album "Homebrew", Edwards feels he's "just getting warmed up," despite many valleys in his musical journey, but hey, the struggles and in-between periods just make the songs and stories all that more potent.
