Dale Whittenberg

Red Dirt Cowpunk. That’s the sound of Dale Whittenberg. Heavily rooted in punk and American Roots Music, Dale is carving out a sound all his own.

He first really fell in love with music at around five years old in Lubbock, TX. His first gig was when he was in high school at a restaurant in Moriarty, NM. He wrote his first original song, Long Dirt Road, at 17. Although he was scratching out a start in the Texas/Red Dirt scene while attending Tarleton State in Stephenville, TX, military service and being wounded in combat etc mostly paused his musical dreams for a long time. But Dale, now living in his family’s hometown in Western Oklahoma, is back and better than before with a distinct sound you won’t forget.

With influences like Rancid, Chris LeDoux, Dropkick Murphys, The Gaslight Anthem, Chris Knight, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Social Distortion, Taking Back Sunday, Johnny Cash, and many more, Dale brings his own unique style to both the Red Dirt/Texas Country and Punk scenes.
