Kolton Moore & the Clever Few
About
Kolton Moore & The Clever Few are back with their sixth studio album, A Place That I Call Home (Sept 26, 2025). Produced by GRAMMY-winner Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price), the record finds the Texas five-piece reflecting on rowdy teenage nights, mental health struggles, and the joys of fatherhood—ultimately redefining what “home” means after years on the road.
The soulful single “Self Destruct” highlights the band’s blend of big-hearted twang and grit, praised by outlets like Holler, Whiskey Riff, and Glide Magazine. With more than 300 million streams, and songs featured on Yellowstone and American Idol, the band has grown from road warriors playing 250 shows a year to seasoned storytellers with hard-earned perspective.
Frontman Kolton Moore, joined by Ryan Wilcox (lead guitar), Matt Gumley (bass), Sam Jones (keys), and Aaron Dowd (drums), crafts music that balances raw honesty with Southern soul. As Moore says: “The road has always been my home, but so is my daughter. So is my wife. Whenever they're with me, wherever we are, I'm home.”
"Someone Who's Done This Before", is the band’s newest single released in April, 2026. It’s a simple love song written for Kolton’s daughter Murphy, sharing hard-earned life advice and reminding her that he’ll always be there anytime she needs him.
